Neptune Logistics participated in the "Fidelity Club" cross-border e-commerce logistics training and sharing meeting
Zhang Jiayi Murphy, General Manager of the Cross-border E-commerce Division of Dayang Logistics, shared the cold knowledge of "Iron Group" of Cross-border E-commerce from the aspects of trunk transportation, customs clearance, back-haul delivery, shipping space booking precautions, operational procedures and so on.
"Cross-border E-commerce" + "Iron School", this is a "new", but "not new" knowledge, here, let's have a look at "Cross-border E-commerce" + "Iron School" of those knowledge.
Why is cross-border e-commerce so popular?
Cross-border e-commerce is a way of consumption, and people's consumption mode has undergone many changes:
1. Stand on the floor, this is C2C (person-to-person)
2. Go to the grocery store or supermarket to buy something. This is B2C (merchant and consumer).
3. Shopping malls rent counters to dealers, dealers sell things, B2B2C (merchants and merchants and consumers)
4. Consumers buy things directly online, O2O (online and offline)
The first three types of consumption, consumers need to go out of the house, go to the ground stalls, go to the supermarket, need to pay cash or credit card, need to communicate with people, need to move the goods home.
Chinese consumers quickly fell in love with e-shopping after online shopping apps such as Taobao, JD.com and Pinduoduo were launched.
While consumers in Europe and the United States are fond of offline supermarket shopping, the number of online shopping is also gradually increasing.
The European cross-border ecommerce market, which includes travel, was worth €137bn last year. This is an increase of 13.2 percent compared to 2017.
But e-commerce penetration in Europe remains low, and during the lockdown, the share of online consumption in Europe rose from 15 percent to 22 percent of total sales.
The epidemic has changed the consumption habits of Europeans. After the epidemic stabilizes, the borders of many European countries are reopened, and cross-border e-commerce will be more popular.
The China-Europe Railway Express has added wings to cross-border e-commerce
China is a popular destination for cross-border e-commerce purchases. In almost every country in Europe, such as the UK, Denmark, France, Spain, Italy, etc., China is the country where cross-border online shoppers buy the most products.
According to a survey by IPC, an international postal service, 38 per cent of packages bought across borders in Europe last year were bought from China.
And a large part of cross-border e-commerce goods are shipped through the China-Europe freight train.
As early as 2018, there were freight train routes specially launched for cross-border e-commerce. In March 2018, Shanghai's first cross-border e-commerce China-Europe freight train "One Belt And One Road" cross-border e-commerce China-Europe freight train (Shanghai-Europe-Europe Connect) "was launched, and Ocean Logistics participated in the organization.
In 2018, Zhengzhou also launched a special train for cross-border e-commerce.
The first EWTP Cainiao train arrives at the Liege Logistics Intermodal Freight Terminal on October 25, 2019.
There are special trains for cross-border e-commerce in Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi 'an, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
The China-Europe freight train provides trunk transportation guarantee for cross-border e-commerce and inserts wings for the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce.
FBA head trip + overseas warehouse
Currently, Amazon has a relatively high penetration rate of e-commerce platform in the world. Amazon has its own warehouse. Goods go from the factory to the Amazon warehouse of the destination, which is called FBA first journey, and the middle journey includes customs clearance, prepaid tariff and other services.
In fact, a first transport consists of three key points: trunk transport, customs clearance, and delivery to the warehouse after unpacking.
The China-Europe freight train can provide trunk transportation, transporting the goods from China to a station in Europe, customs clearance, unpacking and other processes at the station, and then the goods will be delivered to Amazon's warehouse by express.
Ocean Logistics cooperates with local UPS/DPD/GLS express companies and can deliver directly to Amazon warehouses.
In addition to Amazon, there are also cross-border e-commerce platforms:
· Alibaba /AliExpress (AliExpress)
EBay,
Wish,
Lazada,
Goods from these platforms cannot be put into Amazon's warehouse, but need to be delivered to overseas warehouses.
Ocean Logistics has overseas warehouses in Moscow and Europe, and can provide services for customers with overseas warehouse needs.
